Hello XyFreak, First of all, this program is great, thank you for having worked so much with it. Unfortunately I have a problem with their program in the singelplayer it works perfectly .. but on our server it calibrates the passive reactor just not. Normally it takes a little bit but is finished in a few seconds. and at the controll rods, he also changes nothing he goes directly to 100% and that's it. I do not understand it unfortunately in the singelplayer it runs. Hope you can help me LG
What I've noticed is that if I have a controll rod I can do it if I have more, at brgcctrl service reactor runOnce nothing happens http://br.sidoh.org/#reactor-design?length=5&width=5&height=5&activelyCooled=false&controlRodInsertion=0&layout=6C3X2CXCX2C3X6C
I had an issue similar to this. Change your cpu to Lua 5.2 mode

@XyFreak thanks for coming onto our server and finding out what the issue was.

Lemme ask you as well: Is there a way I can look into the issue myself / firsthand?
sent you a pm
-
Who knows. Currently I am manually tuning it. Now has 3 turbines hooked up to it and still errors
-
I wonder if it could be linked to the issue you just pinged Zero about.
-
Its being fed by several aqueous acumulators and superlaminar fluiducts

You have to let the reactor cool down first. You can easily do that by having it pump out steam (e.g. into your turbine). Also make sure you have enough water.
did that, also reduced its size, reinstalled on a clean disk again and still instant "Error"

@Moobien Your reactor is running way too hot (above 3000). If the core temperature goes above 2000 the program flags the reactor as faulty.
Its not even attempting to calibrate it, has 1 turbine connected.
-
I hate to be a bug poster also but I am having some issues with Actively cooled reactors this last week. I will post my reactor design but the control program simply says "error" and nothing else. This is being played on a server

Pls check out brgcctrl calibrate
brgcctrl calibrate <address here>
Alternatively you can always remove the configuration file to reset everything.
EDIT:
brgcctrl accepts partial addresses (e.g. the first three letters)
Thanks man, appreciated.
A suggestion then, perhaps something in the gui to run a recalibration?
-
was just wondering if there is a way to force recalibration for reactors and turbines that have been modified, as an example changing the reactor internals or turbine induction coil materials

Awesome work @XyFreak! I can confirm the bug I had is gone and everything is working perfectly. Thank you!
Same thank man

I'll make it official now.
Big Reactors Grid Control Version 4.3.1 has been released!
Changelog:
- Now using the new ER API (0.4.5.48 and higher). Old API is still supported. - Implemented further mitigations for the "too long without yielding" issues. - Included a hack/workaround for a bug with OpenOS 1.7.1 (and earlier) and Lua 5.3 mode. - Fixed a bug where attempting to format a number as an integer (illegal in Lua 5.3 mode).
I'm sorry for abusing some of you as beta testers
So do I still report to openos or just update brgc lol
-
Ahhh now I understand will the reactor start being calibrated without the gui being started?
EDIT here you go! https://imgur.com/a/cGXkW
EDIT2: I was just wondering, could this program be adapted for monitoring only? Namely in that I am building a starship, I want my reactor controlled by a computer in the engineering section but cool would be if that info could also be displayed on the bridge but not controlled on the bridge

I feel like i fixed that one eons ago. What LUA version is your OC CPU set to? It should work with both but...you know....
EDIT: the format one. The third one is something else
3 hours ago, XyFreak said:Ok I just ninja updated BRGC. It's now using the new API but can still use the old one. If one or two ppl could confirm that stuff is still working for you that'd be great.
I've also tried to make the "too long without yielding" issue less likely to occur so... there's that. Without knowing what exactly is causing https://i.imgur.com/1eV8hJj.png don't actually want to call it RELEASE! time yet tho.
The CPU was default crafted. Will get you a screenshot shortly
EDIT: When the'crash' happens it does 1 of 1 things. When I have the reactor that is behind the screen connected it flashes the error and then the screen shows what you see in the new screenshot with no text on it. When it isn't connected (reactor behind me is still connected) you get the error in screenshot 2. I haven't updated and I assume that screenshot 2 is what you were asking for
-
Is it possible to get the previous version which did not have this bug?
-
So will this happen regardless of server or single player?
-
I just tried this updater and got the following error.
Unrecoverable Error
loadfile:5: /lib/core/boot.lua
-
Hey man, love this program for OC, thank you for making it.
I am currently on the EnderIO test server helping find bugs for 1.12.2 prior to release and I just got the guys to add OC to the server. So I downloaded the program via the usual wget command. It installed happily onto the computer and detected the reactor with no issues but when it completed calibrating my reactor it crashed.
Is there anything that our server admin needs to know/do to resolve this?
-
I am getting an error. I have tier 3 video card and screen and this is demanding tier 2. Is this a bug?
Downgraded to Tier 2 gear ang getting missing lua file errors.
