What do you mean with stdout? I'm just starting with programming so I'm a noob sorry.

Hello there, I'm trying to figure out how i could display text on a screen, but i can't. If i use the command io.write it show in the log, but I want the text I type to be written largely on the screen and nothing else. I don't mind using either servers or just standard computers. Thanks in advance for the people who try to help or help.
