That's right.
There is no limitation for the number of screens BUT adding more takes more time to process/update the screens -> slower
And of course every screen is a component so you need a computer who can handle so many component connected. (server racks!)

I'm playing on 1.12.2 with a continuation of SG Craft (stargate network i think) and everything seems to still work even with the new features which is amazing, but I cant get the tablet to work with it, and idk if this is just with the new version or what because idk how to set up the tablet in the first place, unless im blind i also dont see how to do that on here already

i would love to see this work for Aunis as I have switched to using it exclusively and the mod developer is doing so much for the mod (very recently he added the Universe Stargate)

I've looked at it ... but for example let's look how both mods handle dialing the gate from a computer.

SG-Craft works like this:

sg.dial("ABC-DEF-GHI")

and AUNIS works like this:

sg.engageSymbol("symbol name 1")
"wait for event locked symbol 1"
sg.engageSymbol("symbol name 2")
"wait for event locked symbol 2"
sg.engageSymbol("symbol name 3")
"wait for event locked symbol 3"
sg.engageSymbol("symbol name 4")
"wait for event locked symbol 4"
sg.engageSymbol("symbol name 5")
"wait for event locked symbol 5"
sg.engageSymbol("symbol name 6")
"wait for event locked symbol 6"
sg.engageSymbol("symbol name 7")
"wait for event locked symbol 7"
sg.engageGate()

It's possible but there is a bunch of differences like that.

I might have some time to do it but I can't promise anything.

Its cool if it wasn't able to be done, but the mod looks so promising and could really use a great OC program for dialing the gates. I only wish I knew OC programming so I could help you. Thank you though for any time you do put into the creation of a program!

Update 3.2:

AUNIS support added :)

The mod is cool but the computer support is a bit limited compared to SGCraft.
The computer cannot...
...send messages to the other side.
...get the address of the connected gate (local or remote).
...find out how much energy is required to dial a gate.

 

The symbols in the AUNIS addresses have to be seperated with a hyphen "-" to function in nexDHD.

The Aunis' Gate retransmits wireless OC messages. At least it should :p The required energy to dial is a pending suggestion on GitHub I think and getting dialed address is definitely possible on the initiating gate(Getting incoming wormhole address is not canonical).

Having a way for the computer to get the address of the stargate its connected to would be really great (and I mean literally connected with the computer cable and not the stargate on the other side).

 

The required energy to dial function would be nice especially because I use it also to determine if a gate address is valid. :)

Hi, this program is great. The iris functionality works well and the address book. However, I can not dial out from the computer using the program. It says Dialing "name" "address" but does not actually start the dial up sequence of the stargate.

I've just checked if I broke anything when I added AUNIS support but it works with sgcraft gate just as good as before.

Did you perhaps enter a wrong stargate address?

Can you check for errors?

I opened the error log and there are no errors. The Address is also correct

Hey, I don't suppose it's possible to make the "extra" monitors work with the Universe gate? When I set them up with the Universe gate connected to the rest of the setup (the main Monitor or PC), they just show Milky Way symbols and don't change (the T3 Monitor works however and shows the gate Chevron status). Thanks in advance :)

Hey, would it be possible to make the extra monitors also work with the Universe Gate? And also, when a Universe Gate is hooked up, make it so that on every Chevron lock it sends out a short redstone pulse? I have a ProjectRed White Cage Lamp above the Universe Gate which I want it to light up just like in the series.
