Question

Hi!

So, I've set up a tier one computer with all components and installed the OS. i have three monitorblocks as one 1 high and 3 wide screen. How would I do to have something like this:

 

        -STATIC TEXT-

-sideways scrolling text-

 

or if much easier, just the scrolling text.

You would need a program that buffers the text and scrolls and redraws for you.

/bin/more can be used scroll down, but it doesn't scroll back

/bin/less does back scrolling

example

`cat large_file | less`

Im a complete beginner with no experience with programming, so i have no clue what youre talking about, haha

Right now id settle with plain old text, big enough to fill 3x1 horizontal screens :)
