Undocumented parameters on Geolyzer

Question

Hello,

I did a small program to scan the world with a geolyzer and output a surface map on a hologram projector. It makes multiple scans to get rid of the noise as much as possible, but it takes way too long.

From the documentation:

Quote

scan(x:number, z:number[, y:number, w:number, d:number, h:number][, ignoreReplaceable:boolean|options:table]):table

Does anyone of you knows what the optional parameters do? Maybe I can use them to only scan what will be visible on the hologram and make faster scans.

Each scan is made over 0.05 seconds.

The maximum number of blocks which can be scanned at one time - 64

The available area for scanning is 65x64x65

65*65*0.05=211.25 sec

Hence, the entire available area possible to scan for 3.5 minutes. Increase the speed only can increasing the number of computers and geolyzers.

I tried different Y,D,W,H values, it doesn't seem to change anything... Well except if I use values a bit too big, if these parameters multiplied together gives a result over 64 it throws an error ("volume too large"). So yeah it SHOULD control a volume but I don't see any difference...
