	While working on an OpenComputers project, I had an idea I thought was interesting.
</p>

<p>
	Components in OpenComputers can only be accessed by computers that are connected to them by wire or wire-like blocks. But with network cards, you can have other computers send messages to a computer connected to a component, that could be interpreted by that computer as instructions to call certain functions on their available components.
</p>

<p>
	Which made me wonder, would it be feasible to set up a system such that components selected to be connected wirelessly could be controlled seamlessly enough that, from the perspective of any program running on the remote machine, it would be indistinguishable from being actually connected to the components, events and all?
</p>

<p>
	As far as I can tell, it <em>should</em> be possible, but OpenOS's component API code is confusing enough to me that I'm not sure how or if it even could be modified to achieve that.

<p>So, I know that true parallelization is not possible with Lua's coroutines, but I thought it would be fun to implement something like a server with multiple users.</p>
<p>The basic idea is that the kernel runs coroutines according to priorities (just like in real life) and maybe "punishes" threads that take too long to yield (it runs them less often).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This is all fine and dandy, but it would also be nice to run non-blocking threads while a thread is waiting on a blocking operation (events). That's where the problems arise.</p>
<p>Waiting on pullSignal would blocks other theads, even with a timeout.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Any ideas to overcome this?</p>

<p>
	I think that the OC team should add like, a format command or something. That will format the currently mounted/booted drive.
</p>

<p>
	I made something like this, I turned it from a virus to a formatting tool.
</p>

<p>
	<br /><strong>___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________</strong>
</p>

<p>
	My SecuriWipe program is a program to securely and safely wipe your computer, format the drive, and flash your EEPROM. It leaves NO file behind and is easy to run!
</p>

<p>
	<strong>WARNING:  </strong>SecuriWipe deletes <strong>ALL FILES</strong> on the drive run on!
</p>

<p>
	SecuriWipe will <strong>FLASH YOUR BIOS, AND RENDER THE COMPUTER UNABLE TO BE OPERATED UNTIL THE EEPROM IS REPLACED AND HAS A NEW FLOPPY DISK/HARD DISK.</strong>
</p>

<p>
	If you do not feel comfortable with the above method, there is an ALTERNATIVE!
</p>

<p>
	The alternative method will only delete files off the drive, leaving the EEPROM to work. You will need to insert a new floppy disk into your computer and reinstall OpenOS to it.
</p>

<p>
	To use method 1 of SecuriWipe, run this command in the shell: pastebin get Yc6sv6uQ SecuriWipe;SecuriWipe
</p>

<p>
	To use method 2 of SecuriWipe, run THIS command in the shell: pastebin get 3NJj9aSJ SecuriWipe;SecuriWipe
</p>

<p>
	<strong>___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________</strong>
</p>

<p>
	It SHOULDN'T delete anything it's not supposed to, have a look at the Pastebin. I need people to try this out so I can submit it to OPPM.
</p>

<p>
	I wouldn't reccomend doing this on a survival computer, unless you really need it wiped.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!
</p>

	I was one of the richest on the server and had a decent influence on one of the cities, cause i did something similar to the internet:<br />
	a central tower with OC server racks filled with servers hosting websites for anybody that wanted to rent one, all connected to one central DNS server,<br />

	I got my prototype RS-485 circuit working. Now, I've connected it to my PC through RS-232 as I want to make the PC as the master. However, when I connect to the circuit using Hyperterminal, the RTS line, connected to RE and DE, always goes high. The PC can send data to the circuit but not receive, since the RTS never goes low. Changing the handshaking from none to hardware didn't help.

<p style="margin:0px 0px 1em;padding:0px;border:0px;font-size:15px;clear:both;color:rgb(36,39,41);font-family:Verdana, 'Bitstream Vera Sans', 'DejaVu Sans', Tahoma, Geneva, Arial, sans-serif;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;letter-spacing:normal;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;white-space:normal;word-spacing:0px;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);">
	I later made mods to the circuit, so that, on the PIC side, the pin that drives the <a href="http://www.kynix.com/uploadfiles/pdf8798/SN75176BD.pdf" rel="external nofollow">SN75176</a>'s RE and DE high when transmitting data will also drive the SN75176's RE and DE on the PC side low to enable receiving. This in effect turns the line from two to three. It's wrong, but I'm just doing it to see how it'll really work if the RTS pin is working properly.
</p>

I know I can just create an app using Visual Studio to connect to the line and have RTS toggled manually, but doing so is too troublesome and I'd rather have a hardware solution if possible.</span>

<p>Hello everyone, I want to share with you an idea I thought of and have started acting upon. A Lua Tutorial for OpenComputers, I was wondering two things.</p>
<ol><li>Does anyone think this is a good idea?</li>	<li>Would anyone be interested in helping me?</li>
</ol><p>This is of course an open discussion, so please, feel free to respond.</p>

<p> </p>
<p>But if you didn't get the idea yet the mod is not gonna overwrite how openos works just the parts and one of the main points was to make the computers faster so if a devloper reads this help is welcome <img src="https://oc.cil.li/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" alt=":)" srcset="https://oc.cil.li/uploads/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" data-src="https://oc.cil.li/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png"></p>
<p> </p>
<p>Thanks! for making Open Computers love it!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Currently working on it in 1.7.10</p>
<p> </p>
<p>but might do a 1.10.2 version if i get the 1.7.10 version done</p>
